Pro Surf Ramblings
The Brazil WCT contest is currently on hold this Friday morning. The surf conditions are small, but they need to finish up on Round 1. I don’t think we will see Slater’s World Title win today, but maybe if the swell picks up over the weekend, it may go down (or, is that up?). Pier Talk
Being that Fresh Friday is an Editorial, this link has some media freedom to express opinions. As we all know, everyone has opinions! Its kind of fun to be able to blurt them out sometimes. We Are Water focuses on the intricacies of the so called Surf Tribe. To outsiders, Surfers are somewhat of an enigma. Surfers seem to be viewed as an independent sub-culture. This surf society has its own lingo, fashion, etiquette, and philosophies. Philosophies, like opinions of which board to ride, wetsuits or leash needed, who is a sell out, and who's the wannabe kook?!?
I’ll blab more about this in the next Fresh Friday article. Remember...this is just an opinion piece and random Pier Talk. Everybody does it. You know... the whole Peanut Gallery thing. Where you sit up on the boardwalk and criticize people’s surfing styles. The irony though is the people you are making fun of are actually having the most fun. I love a good irony!

B.K.William has a new article up. It is titled Am I Wrong or Right? It is quirky, so be forewarned, the article might have you asking your own sanity! I was laughing and crying at the same time when I was editing the story. It’s a sad article, yet, enlightening in some degree that it gets you riled up at the obvious! Weird Water seems to be a good title for this featured writer:

We Are Water hit counter has significantly climbed the past month. It seems as putting a direct link on the front page of 2ndlight.com has worked for getting hits. I’ve been averaging 200 people looking at Bill Burbage’s Indo trip per day! I’ve had many responses to the High Resolution shots to some of the photos. They make great computer screen backgrounds. I'll give a direct link to the Higher Res. shots in the next article.

Also, these Fresh Friday articles are averaging 350 people looking at it in a week. Thanks for the eyeballs! Some people probably like what I write, others are probably complexed on why they are wasting time reading this! Don’t worry, I sometimes don't know why I am writing this garbage as well! I guess it keeps me off the streets and out of bars! So, it does good in that regard...
Also, as a tidbit, the term Pier Talk was sent to me in a complaining e-mail a few years back. The term alone, Pier Talk, has great meaning and perplexed me at first…but, it then came to me. If I classify some Fresh Friday as an editorial, or an opinion piece, AND give it the label of Pier Talk, then it may become acceptable in it's own context…sorry, I digress and I have a liquid lunch on the menu at my favorite sand bar!!!!
