Short and simple, or, is it Keep it Simple, Stupid (Kiss) ? When you lack time for certain things it is sometime's prudent to prescribe to this philosophy. Due to Hurricane Wilma clean-up this Fresh Friday editorial is a Kiss from me to you!
The Short If you haven't been paying attention due to the long pause between Men's WCT events, this weekend begins the Brazilian Pro Contest. This is one of the final two contest remaining. Pipeline is the last contest. If Kelly Slater can win over Andy Irons he will claim his 7th World Title. If not, it goes to extra innings on Oahu! Here is an excellent recap of 2005 WCT race and what is at stake for the Brazillian contest: ASP World Tour Two-Horse Race Bounds into Brazil - by Rabbit Bartholomew The event should have a live web-cast (Oct 31- Nov 9) and can be found starting at this link: The Simple As impartial as I try to be, I'm really pulling for Kelly Slater to kick Andy Irons' ass. If not in Brazil, but in the final heat at 15 foot third reef pipeline! Wilma Loves Misery As I write this Post-Wilma, it is still fresh in everyone's mind that Hurricane Wilma surprised a lot of people! Many people in South Florida were caught off guard and unprepared for the storm. Not much needs to be said in retrospect. I figured the phrase Wilma Loves Misery sums it up! Since I'm trying to keep it simple (remember stupid?), ...Wilma Loves Misery is all you get from this viewpoint...simple, yet stupid!
Sebastian Pro 2006 Sebastian Inlet Pro contest has a new website out for 2006. Contest dates are: Jan 5-12 and it looks as if they added a Women Pro Contest with this event. Check the website for more info:
We Are Water Happenings Ben Smith took some excellent shots of Panama City Wilma Swell and is posted on the Featured Artist link. Also, We Are Water is working on a couple new articles from logjammer and B.K.William. Wilma put a forced stop on that! I saw 40 to 65 mph winds as Wilma slammed into South Florida on Monday. Electricity never went out, but flickered and I lost internet connection for a couple of days. Surf was pretty good and big immediately following Wilma's exit into the Atlantic. As in many times this record breaking hurricane season, We Are Water, asks for everyone to do what they can to help in the recovery of Wilma's aftermath. As of Friday morning, there is still a half-million households without power in Palm Beach County alone. We still haven't seen or heard the worse of the suffering from the Yucatan, Cuba, and Southwest Florida. We Are Water wishes everyone the best! Hurricane Wilma Swell at Panama City <----- Photo Link
That's it, another rendition of Fresh Friday, I hope it was simple enough for you! Kisses XOXO David Reid Sales@WeAreH2O.Com Back to Fresh Friday Main Index
