Surfed Out!

Surf has been very fun the past month. All of September we have had surf on the East Coast of Florida. Just when you think it couldn’t get any better with the Ophelia swell, we get another classic Fall swell with Philippe. Philippe was a hurricane in the ITCZ and then turned Extra-Tropical near Bermuda. The Remnants of Philippe gave us a nice sized Northeast swell. The local winds cooperated most mornings to give us really glassy surf! Let's hope October proves to be as good as this ‘September to Remember’…

Slater Rules

Kelly Slater can win his 7th World Title this Friday when the French Pro continues. If it doesn’t happen they have the weekend to finish the contest. They are currently in Round 4 and if Kelly wins this contest he clinches the title. Andy Irons must finish above Kelly to remain in the chase. It should be interesting to watch! It is very tough to take photographs when the surf is breaking this good. It takes patience and determination to take surf shots. It is almost as fun as surfing as there is a bit of a wait between sets and when you get a good snapshot it gives you that same euphoric feeling. ...yeah right... However, after surfing the whole month of September, I did what most 'surfed out' people do...took some pictures while waiting for a better tide! Of course no one volunteered to take pictures after I was out! I can't blame them, the surf was that fun! It was all I could do to squeeze these in!
